The Bell Island Community Policing Newsletter is a joint project of the RCMPolice Bell Island Community Policing Office and the Wabana Town Council. The object of the newsletter is to inform the general public of what is happening in their community in relation to policing. An informed community is a safe community. The newsletter contains information on crime prevention initiatives and programs, investigations, court results, council news, fire department reports and other items of interest to the community. It is delivered via the mail to every household on Bell Island. The cost of the newsletter is shared by the RCMPolice and the Wabana Town Council.

A partnership between the police and the community, sharing in the delivery of police services. Members of this Detachment pledge to:

community's safety and quality of life.
