Posted December, 2009 Lost Bell Island Videos Before the Trade School (now known as the Wabana Complex) closed in the 1990's Henry Crane was working on an oral history project, Tales from Bell Island. Conversations with local residents were video taped. Topics were varied and they captured a great deal of our local history. When the Trade School closed these videos went missing, perhaps thrown out when much of the furniture and contents of the building were removed. However, it is hoped that maybe someone may have them. We are asking the public if anyone knows if these tapes are still in existence. We would like to get a copy of them for the Bell Island Museum. We would transfer the VHS tapes to DVD for archival purposes and in return give a copy to the person who has them. Please email

Posted October, 2009 Sports Hall of Fame looking for pictures of Volleyball and Wrestling. We are looking for pictures of Harold Rees's Winter Games bronze medal and pictures of the 4 Atlantic champions. Also any team pictures of the group that won a provincial banner.
